Biological Activity

Description

CD73/5'-Nucleotidase Protein Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is a recombinant mouse CD73 expressed by HEK293 cells with His tag. CD73 is a cell surface enzyme that catalyzes the dephosphorylation of extracellular AMP to adenosine[1][2].

Background

CD73 is a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked 70-kDa cell surface enzyme found in most tissues. CD73, originally defined as a lymphocyte differentiation antigen, is thought to function as a co-signaling molecule on T lymphocytes and as an adhesion molecule that is important for lymphocyte binding to endothelium[2].

Verified Bioactivity

Measured by its ability to hydrolyze the 5’-phosphate group from 100μM substrate adenosine-5’-monophosphate (AMP) (HY-W010968). The specific activity is 17688.25 pmol/min/µg.
