IL-1F10/IL-38 Protein, Human (P.pastoris, His)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
IL-1F10/IL-38 protein is an immunomodulatory cytokine that indirectly regulates cytokine production. It reduces IL22 and IL17A production in T cells exposed to heat-killed Candida albicans and inhibits IL36G-induced IL8 production in peripheral blood mononuclear cells. IL-1F10/IL-38 Protein, Human (P.pastoris, His) is the recombinant human-derived IL-1F10/IL-38 protein, expressed by P. pastoris , with C-His labeled tag.

Description
IL-1F10/IL-38 protein is an immunomodulatory cytokine that indirectly regulates cytokine production. It reduces IL22 and IL17A production in T cells exposed to heat-killed Candida albicans and inhibits IL36G-induced IL8 production in peripheral blood mononuclear cells. IL-1F10/IL-38 Protein, Human (P.pastoris, His) is the recombinant human-derived IL-1F10/IL-38 protein, expressed by P. pastoris , with C-His labeled tag.
Background
IL-1F10/IL-38 Protein is an immunomodulatory cytokine that does not directly induce cytokine production. Instead, it plays a regulatory role by reducing IL22 and IL17A production in T-cells following exposure to heat-killed Candida albicans. Additionally, it inhibits IL36G-induced IL8 production in peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Interestingly, IL-1F10/IL-38 Protein enhances IL6 production in dendritic cells stimulated by bacterial lipopolysaccharides (LPS). It acts as a ligand for IL-36R/IL1RL2 and interacts with the cargo receptor TMED10, facilitating translocation from the cytoplasm to the ERGIC (endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment) and subsequent secretion.
Verified Bioactivity
Human IL-1 Rrp-2, hFc Tag captured on CM5 Chip via Protein A can bind Human IL-1F10, His Tag with an affinity constant of 35.38 μM as determined in SPR assay (Biacore T200).

Product Properties
Lyophilized powder.
Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere.
