IL-31R alpha Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
The IL-31R alpha protein is critical to the immune response and forms the interleukin 31 receptor with OSMR. It activates STAT3, and to a lesser extent STAT1 and STAT5, is associated with skin immunity and mediates IL31-induced itch, possibly involving the cation channels TRPA1 and TRPV1. IL-31R alpha Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived IL-31R alpha protein, expressed by HEK293 , with a C-His labeled tag.

Background
The IL-31R alpha protein plays a crucial role in immune response, as it forms the interleukin-31 receptor by associating with OSMR. This receptor activates STAT3, and to a lesser extent, STAT1 and STAT5. It is believed to be involved in skin immunity and mediates IL31-induced itch, potentially relying on cation channels TRPA1 and TRPV1. Additionally, IL-31R alpha positively regulates the numbers and cycling status of immature subsets of myeloid progenitor cells in the bone marrow, both in vivo and in vitro, enhancing myeloid progenitor cell survival. It forms a heterodimer with OSMR and interacts with JAK1 and STAT3.
Verified Bioactivity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Mouse IL-31 RA (HY-P77968) is immobilized at 5 µg/mL (100 µL/well) can bind Biotinylated Mouse IL-31. The ED50 for this effect is 2.916 μg/mL.
