MST4/STK26 Protein, Human (Active, sf9, GST)

MST4/STK26 is a kinase that mediates cell growth, regulates apoptosis, and, together with STK24, is involved in negatively affecting Golgi reorientation during RHO-triggered polarized cell migration. MST4/STK26 enhances autophagic flux by phosphorylating ATG4B at 'Ser-383'. MST4/STK26 Protein, Human (sf9, GST) is the recombinant human-derived MST4/STK26 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with GST labeled tag.

MST4/STK26, a serine/threonine-protein kinase, functions as a mediator of cell growth and plays a modulatory role in apoptosis. Alongside STK24, it participates in the negative regulation of Golgi reorientation during polarized cell migration triggered by RHO activation. Additionally, MST4/STK26 phosphorylates ATG4B at 'Ser-383,' thereby enhancing autophagic flux. These activities highlight its involvement in diverse cellular processes, including growth regulation, apoptotic modulation, and coordination of cellular migration through Golgi reorientation and autophagy modulation.

The specific activity was determined to be 15 nmol/min/mg using MBP as substrate.
