VEGFR-2 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
VEGFR-2 Protein is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase, also known as the receptor for vascular endothelial growth factor 2. VEGFR-2 Protein mediates vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced endothelial proliferation, survival, migration, tubular morphogenesis, and sprouting, and plays a key role in angiogenesis and vasculogenesis. VEGFR-2 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived VEGFR-2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.
- Species: Rat

Background
VEGFR-2 protein mediates vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced endothelial proliferation, survival, migration, tubular morphogenesis, and sprouting, and plays a key role in angiogenesis and vasculogenesis[1][3].
The signal of VEGFR-2 protein is a survival mechanism in hippocampal neurons, which can prevent mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative stress[2].
VEGFR-2 Protein is highly expressed in the microvessels of diabetes and can be used as a biomarker for early diagnosis of diabetes retinopathy (DR) [4].
VEGFR-2 protein mediates hydrogen sulfide (H2S)-induced dilation of rat basilar artery[5].
Verified Bioactivity
1.This product does not contain protein kinase domain.
2.Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Recombinant Human VEGF 165 is present at 2 μg/mL can bind Rat VEGFR-2. The ED50 for this effect is 98.18 ng/mL.
