RSV fusion protein IN-1 

RSV fusion protein IN-1 is an orally active RSV pre-fusion F protein inhibitor with an IC₅₀ of 0.10 nM against RSV. RSV fusion protein IN-1 forms stable hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions with pre-fusion F protein to block viral fusion and entry. RSV fusion protein IN-1 suppresses RSV F protein expression in epithelial cells. RSV fusion protein IN-1 reduces viral burden in the lungs of RSV-infected murine models.RSV fusion protein IN-1 can be used for the research of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection^[1].

RSV fusion protein IN-1 (Compound 21) potently inhibits RSV replication in HEp-2 cells with an IC₅₀ of 0.10 nM, a TC₅₀ of 7.8 μM for HEp-2 cells and a selectivity index of 78,000^[1].
RSV fusion protein IN-1 (3.75-15 nM; 48 h) dose-dependently suppresses RSV F protein expression in HEp-2 cells, with 98% reduction at 15 nM after 48 h^[1].

RSV fusion protein IN-1 (Compound 21) (10 mg/kg; i.p. or 50 mg/kg; p.o.; single administration) reduces RSV-induced lung injury and viral burden in BALB/c mice, with 10 mg/kg intraperitoneal administration producing a more potent effect than 50 mg/kg oral administration^[1].
