(S)-2-Benzylsuccinic acid is an intermediate of KAD-1229 (HY-B0682A). (S)-2-Benzylsuccinic acid exerts weak inhibitory activity against IMP-1 metallo-β-lactamase^[1].

In Vitro

(S)-2-Benzylsuccinic acid (Compound 6) (with 15 min preincubation at 37 °C) weakly inhibits purified IMP-1 metallo-β-lactamase, with an IC₅₀ of 490 μM^[1].
