5-Azidopentanoic acid (5-Azidovaleric acid) is a crosslinker/cyclization reagent as well as an azido-containing carboxylic acid. 5-Azidopentanoic acid participates in Cu I-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reactions; when used to cap the N-terminus of resin-bound peptides containing propargylglycine residues, it enables head-to-tail cyclodimerization of peptides. 5-Azidopentanoic acid introduces azido functional groups into chitosan via amidation for strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition click reactions. 5-Azidopentanoic acid acts as an aliphatic bifunctional ligand and capping agent for CdSe tetrapods; its bromo group can be converted to an azido group, which then undergoes catalyst-free alkyne-azide cycloaddition click reactions with ethynyl-terminated poly (3-hexylthiophene) .

Fmoc-L-Tyr(2-azidoethyl)-OH is a click chemistry reagent containing an azide group. Fmoc-L-Tyr(2-azidoethyl)-OH is unnatural Fmoc-protected Tyrosine derivative bears an azidoethyl substitution as reactive handle e.g. for biorthogonal conjugations, via a Cu(I)-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar Click cycloaddition with alkynes. And azido-UAAs can be employed as IR reporters . It contains an azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing alkyne groups. It can also undergo ring strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.

Synonyms: 4-Pentynoyl-CoA TFA
4-Pentynoyl-Coenzyme A (4-Pentynoyl-CoA) TFA is an analog of the natural substrate acetyl-CoA (Acetyl-CoA) (HY-114293). 4-Pentynoyl-Coenzyme A TFA can replace acetyl-CoA to be recognized and utilized by lysine acetyltransferases such as p300. 4-Pentynoyl-Coenzyme A TFA can be conjugated to azide probes carrying fluorescent groups (e.g., Rhodamine-azide) or biotin (Biotin-azide) via Cu (I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) .
