1-(2,4,6-Trihydroxyphenyl)-1-octanone
1-(2,4,6-Trihydroxyphenyl)-1-octanone is a derivative of Phloracetophenone (HY-W008226) with a hydrophobic octanoyl chain. 1-(2,4,6-Trihydroxyphenyl)-1-octanone acts as a MALDI matrix, a hydrophobic peptide detection enhancer and a hydrophilic peptide detection inhibitor.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
1-(2,4,6-Trihydroxyphenyl)-1-octanone (ATHAP) enables detection of highly hydrophobic in-gel tryptic peptides of phosphorylase b Lys-C that cannot be detected by CHCA (HY-107641), and increases the sequence coverage of phosphorylase b to 45% in MALDI-TOFMS analysis of the digested products[1].
