3-Methylcytidine methosulfate
3-Methylcytidine methosulfate is the methosulfate form of the N3-methylated cytidine analog 3-methylcytidine (HY-111645). 3-Methylcytidine methosulfate blocks the N3 site of cytidine via N3 methylation, generates steric hindrance, and reduces the basicity of the C4 amino group, thereby weakening its interaction with the allosteric site of E. coli ATCase. 3-Methylcytidine methosulfate can be used in studies of ATCase nucleotide recognition, allosteric regulation, and cytidine methylation.

Biological Activity
3-Methylcytidine methosulfate (Up to 120 mM; 6 min) has no inhibitory or activating effect on aspartate transcarbamylase purified from Escherichia coli, with any observed activity attributable to its methosulfate anion component[1].
