α-Glucosidase-IN-122
α-Glucosidase-IN-122 is an inhibitor of α-glucosidase (α-Glucosidase). α-Glucosidase-IN-122 regulates glucose and lipid metabolism through multiple pathways, including inhibition of α-glucosidase and lipase, and exertion of antioxidant activity, and enhances glucose consumption in insulin-resistant HepG2 cells. α-Glucosidase-IN-122 can be used in the research of type 2 diabetes.

In Vitro
α-Glucosidase-IN-122 (compound 7F) at 50 μM inhibits purified α-glucosidase, with an inhibition rate of 24.04% under the condition of 50 μM[1].
α-Glucosidase-IN-122 (compound 7f) exhibits a cytotoxicity IC50 > 200 μM against HepG2 cells[1].
α-Glucosidase-IN-122 (50 μM) inhibits purified lipase, with an inhibition rate of 26.04% at 50 μM[1].
α-Glucosidase-IN-122 scavenges DPPH free radicals in a cell-free system, with an IC50 value of 171.6 μM[1].
α-Glucosidase-IN-122 (0.1-10 μM) enhances glucose consumption in glucosamine-induced insulin-resistant HepG2 cells; the increase rates of glucose consumption at 10, 1 and 0.1 μM are 58.67%, 53.21% and 38.38%, respectively, all higher than those of metformin at the same concentrations (27.21%, 19.34% and 8.90%)[1].
