Anti-Mouse/Human CD44 Antibody (IM7)

Cat. No.: HY-P99126 Purity: 99.07%
Technical Support

Anti-Mouse/Human CD44 Antibody (IM7) is an anti-huamn and mouse CD44 IgG2b monoclonal antibody that recognizes a conserved epitope outside the HA-binding domain of the CD44 molecule. Anti-Mouse/Human CD44 Antibody (IM7) exerts a potent anti-inflammatory effect by inducing the shedding of cell surface CD44, significantly improving symptoms in mice with rheumatoid arthritis without affecting relevant immune responses. Anti-Mouse/Human CD44 Antibody (IM7) can be used for researches on inflammation conditions and cancer such as arthritis and osteosarcoma.

    In Vitro

    Anti-Mouse/Human CD44 Antibody (IM7) (0.05-50 μg/mL, 24-72 h) significantly reduces cell activity of SW1353 cells in a time-dependent manner[1].
    Anti-Mouse/Human CD44 Antibody (IM7) (50 μg/mL, 72 h) significantly induces cell apoptosis of SW1353 cells[1].
Anti-Mouse/Human CD44 Antibody (IM7) (12-20 h) inhibits the migration and adhesion of inflammatory cells by inducing CD44 shedding and blocking hyaluronic acid binding in white blood cells and synovial cells from arthritis mice[2].

    Cell Viability Assay[1]

    Cell Line: SW1353 cells
    Concentration: 0.05, 5 and 50 μg/mL
    Incubation Time: 24, 48 and 72 h
Result: Significantly reduced the activity of SW1353 cells after 72 hours.
    In Vivo

Anti-Mouse/Human CD44 Antibody (IM7) (50 and 100 μg, i.p., once daily, for 10 days) significantly alleviates symptoms of arthritis without significant side effects in BALB/c mice and DBA/1 mice with arthritis[2].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: BALB/c mice with proteoglycan-arthritis and DBA/1 mice with collagen-arthritis[2]
Dosage: Initial dose of 100 µg, maintenance dose of 50 µg
Administration: Intraperitoneal injection (i.p.), once daily, for 10 days
Result: Significantly reduced joint swelling within 24-36 hours.
Restored normal joint function in mice after 8 days of treatment.
Significantly reduced leukocyte infiltration in synovium.
Prevented white blood cells from migrating to synovial tissue, but did not affect their homing to lymph nodes.

    Help & FAQs
    • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
