Western blot analysis of extracts from K562 (lane 2, 20ug), C6 (lane 3, 20ug), NIH/3T3 (lane 4, 20ug) and HEK293T (lane 5, 20ug) using P70 S6 Kinase beta/SRK (phospho S371) (YA1890) Antibody (HY-P82145). Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% non-fat milk in TBST at 4°C overnight. The primary antibody (1/1000) and Loading control antibody (Beta Actin, HY-P80993, 1/10,000) was used in 5% non-fat milk in TBST for 2 hour at room temperature. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (HY-P8001, 1/10,000) was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

P70 S6 Kinase beta/SRK phosphorylates specifically ribosomal protein S6. Seems to act downstream of mTOR signaling in response to growth factors and nutrients to promote cell proliferation, cell growth and cell cycle progression in an alternative pathway regulated by MEAK7[1].
