    Western blot analysis of extracts from U-251MG (lane 2, 20ug), MCF-7 (lane 3, 20ug), PC-3 (lane 4, 20ug) and A549 (lane 5, 20ug) using Prostatic Acid Phosphatase Antibody (HY-P810625). Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% BSA in TBST for 2 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/2000) and Loading control antibody (Beta Actin, HY-P80993, 1/10,000) was used in 5% BSA in TBST at 4°C overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-HRP Secondary Antibody (HY-P8001,1/10,000) was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

    Prostatic Acid Phosphatase is an A non-specific tyrosine phosphatase that dephosphorylates a diverse number of substrates under acidic conditions (pH 4-6) including alkyl, aryl, and acyl orthophosphate monoesters and phosphorylated proteins. Has lipid phosphatase activity and inactivates lysophosphatidic acid in seminal plasma[1][2][3][4][5].

    Tissue_Specificity: Highly expressed in the prostate, restricted to glandular and ductal epithelial cells. Also expressed in bladder, kidney, pancreas, lung, cervix, testis and ovary. Weak expression in a subset of pancreatic islet cells, squamous epithelia, the pilosebaceous unit, colonic neuroendocrine cells and skin adnexal structures. Low expression in prostate carcinoma cells and tissues.
