    Western blot analysis of extracts from HeLa (lane 1(40μg)) 、K562 (lane 2(40μg)) 、MCF7 (lane 3(40μg)) 、Mouse brain (lane 4(40μg)) and Rat brain (lane 5(40μg)) using SDHA Antibody (HY-P86640) . Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% nonfat dry milk in TBST for 1.5 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/2000) and Loading control antibody (β Actin, 1/10000) was used in 5% nonfat dry milk in TBST at 4℃ overnight. Background

  • Function

    SDHA is a Flavoprotein (FP) subunit of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) that is involved in complex II of the mitochondrial electron transport chain and is responsible for transferring electrons from succinate to ubiquinone (coenzyme Q). SDH also oxidizes malate to the non-canonical enol form of oxaloacetate, enol-oxaloacetate. Enol-oxaloacetate, which is a potent inhibitor of the succinate dehydrogenase activity, is further isomerized into keto-oxaloacetate. Can act as a tumor suppressor[1][2][3].
