Bilirubin Conjugate disodium
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Bilirubin Conjugate disodium is a peroxyl radical scavenger and chain-breaking antioxidant that inhibits lipid peroxidation by undergoing addition reactions with pyrrole moieties and accelerates copper ion-catalyzed decomposition of lipid hydroperoxides. Bilirubin Conjugate disodium is used in oxidative stress-related research.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
Bilirubin Conjugate disodium (20 μM; 90 min) efficiently scavenges peroxyl radicals (n = 1.9) and completely prevents AAPH (HY-Y0525)-induced oxidation of phosphatidylcholine in multilamellar liposomes and micelles at concentrations as low as 20 μM[1].
Bilirubin Conjugate disodium (250 μM; 30 min) greatly accelerates copper ion-catalyzed decomposition of linoleic acid hydroperoxide (20 μM), with only 1% of the hydroperoxide remaining after 10 min, but shows no such activity in the presence of iron ions[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
