Thrombin inhibitor 6 is a potent thrombin inhibitor (IC₅₀: 1 nM). Thrombin inhibitor 6 has the function as an anticoagulant^[1].

In Vitro

Thrombin inhibitor 6 (compound 73) is stable when incubated with CD-1 mouse and human microsomes (Clint (mouse) = 60 μL/min/mg; Clint (human)) = 17 μL/min/mg^[1].

In Vivo

Thrombin inhibitor 6 (compound 73) (9 mg/kg, i.v.) prolongs the tail bleeding time in CD-1 mice^[1].
