Z3405279217 is a time-dependent covalent inhibitor of the dehydrogenase activity of recombinant ALDH1A3 and ALDH1A1, with k_inact/K_i values of 6,200 M^-1·min^-1 and 11,400 M^-1·min^-1, respectively^[1].
Z3405279217 (20 min) potently inhibits endogenous ALDH activity in non-small cell lung cancer A549 cell extracts and glioblastoma A172 cell extracts, with IC₅₀ values of 0.135 μM and 1.93 μM, respectively^[1].
