Glucomoringin potassium
Glucomoringin potassium, a structurally unusual glucosinolate found in seeds of Moringa oleifera Lam., is an antimicrobial agent. Glucomoringin potassium permits to maximize it's power when bioactivated with myrosinase. Glucomoringin potassium can be used for the research of bacterial infections.

Description
In Vitro
Glucomoringin (1.52 mg/mL; 24 h) potassium bioactivated to GMG-ITC potently inhibits the growth of Staphylococcus aureus subsp. aureus ATCC BAA-977 (inhibition halo of 25 mm) and Enterococcus casseliflavus ATCC 700327, shows no activity against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC BAA-1026, and does not inhibit Candida albicans ATCC 14053 growth in vitro[1].

Research Protocol for Infectious Diseases
Infectious-disease experiments test how pathogens interact with host barriers, innate immune receptors, inflammatory signaling, pathogen replication, and tissue injury; pattern-recognition receptors such as TLRs, RIG-I-like receptors, NOD-like receptors, and inflammasomes detect microbial molecules and activate NF-κB, interferon, and cytokine responses. The central hypothesis is that infection severity reflects the balance between pathogen burden and host response: protective inflammation restricts pathogen growth, whereas excessive or mislocalized inflammation contributes to tissue damage and disease phenotype. Unresolved questions include which host pathways are protective versus pathogenic, why some infection models fail to translate to human disease, and which combined readouts best predict clinically relevant infection outcomes.
