JAX-44
JAX-44 is a potent root architecture modulator. JAX-44 maintains primary root length while substantially increasing lateral root numbers, thereby optimizing the plant’s overall root system. JAX-44 is the metabolic precursor of JAX-77 (HY-178359) and can be converted to Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) (HY-N0186). JAX-44 can be used for auxin biology and root development research.

Actividad biológica
JAX-44 (0-30 μM, 4 days) shows potent promoting effects on lateral root formation (LRF) by inducing and advancing the formation of lateral root primordia (LRP) in Arabidopsis thaliana[1].
JAX-44 (0-100 μM, 5 days) promotes adventitious root formation in rice (Oryza sativa cv. Haenuki), while inhibiting primary root elongation at concentrations above 3 μM[1].
JAX-44 enables the selective inhibition of LRF in Arabidopsis thaliana through its conversion to N- or O-methylated derivatives[1].
JAX-44 (100 μM, 3 h) is rapidly hydrolyzed to JAX-77 and subsequently converted to IBA in Arabidopsis thaliana[1].
