LSN3353871 is an orally active inhibitor of lipoprotein (a) (Lp (a)) formation, with Kd values of 756 nM (apo (a) KIV8), 605 nM (apo (a) KIV7-8), and 423 nM (apo (a) KIV5-8), respectively, and an IC50 of 1.69 μM against apo (a) KIV5-8. LSN3353871 reduces circulating Lp (a) levels in transgenic mice and cynomolgus monkeys. LSN3353871 can be used in the research of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and calcific aortic valve disease.

Biological Activity
LSN3353871 selectively binds to apo(a) K(IV)8, K(IV)7-8, and K(IV)5-8 domains with Kd values of 756 nM, 605 nM, and 423 nM, respectively, and does not bind to apo(a) K(IV)2[1].
LSN3353871 (0.03-10 µM; 2 hours) inhibits in vitro Lp(a) assembly with an IC50 of 1.69 µM[1].
