Monoethylglycinexylidide hydrochloride
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Monoethylglycinexylidide hydrochloride (MEGX hydrochloride; Norlidocaine hydrochloride) is the major metabolite of Lidocaine (HY-B0185), produced via oxidative metabolism by cytochrome P-450 enzymes in the liver. Monoethylglycinexylidide hydrochloride can be used for research on liver cirrhosis.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vivo
Monoethylglycinexylidide hydrochloride shows significantly higher peak plasma concentration induced by 2.5% lidocaine/2.5% prilocaine eutectic mixture than single 4% lidocaine cream and 6% lidocaine compound preparation. Impaired liver metabolic function leads to increased residual levels of Monoethylglycinexylidide hydrochloride in plasma[1].
Monoethylglycinexylidide (MEGX) (formed within 0-90 min after intravenous administration of 1 mg/kg Lidocaine) hydrochloride shows no statistically significant difference in plasma concentrations between healthy control samples and samples from patients with mild, moderate, or severe chronic viral liver injury. Multiple extrahepatic interfering factors disrupt its formation process and reduce detection accuracy[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
