Poly(ethylene glycol) diglycidyl ether (MW 500)
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Poly (ethylene glycol) diglycidyl ether (MW 500) is a crosslinker with epoxy functional groups at both ends. Poly (ethylene glycol) diglycidyl ether (MW 500) undergoes epoxy ring-opening reactions with the amino groups of ε-polylysine and the hydroxyl groups of hyaluronic acid to form a crosslinked network. Poly (ethylene glycol) diglycidyl ether (MW 500) helps endow materials with procoagulant, antibacterial and wound-healing properties.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
Poly (ethylene glycol) diglycidyl ether (MW 500)-crosslinked ε-polylysine hydrogels can promote blood coagulation. Among them, EPPE1 shows the shortest coagulation time (563 s), the lowest blood clotting index (35.89%), and the highest adhesion/activation levels of red blood cells and platelets, indicating its excellent in vitro hemostatic performance[1].
The hyaluronic acid gel prepared by cross-linking with Poly (ethylene glycol) diglycidyl ether (MW 658.38) (1.1 v/v%; 24 h) has a residual epoxy group content of less than 1 ppm, which meets the safety requirements for injectable soft tissue fillers[2].
Poly (ethylene glycol) diglycidyl ether (MW 500)-crosslinked ε-polylysine hydrogels exhibit excellent intrinsic antibacterial activity, among which EPPE1 and EPPE2 achieve a killing rate of approximately 99% against *Escherichia coli*, *Staphylococcus aureus* and multidrug-resistant *Staphylococcus aureus* by disrupting bacterial cell membranes[1].
