Biological Activity
ALDH1A3 Protein, Human (His) is a human recombinant ALDH1A3 with a His tag at the N-terminus. ALDH1A3 Protein, Human (His) is produced in E. coli and the target gene encoding Met1-Pro512 is expressed.
Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 1-A3 (ALDH1A3) catalyzes the oxidation of retinal to the pleiotropic factor retinoic acid using NAD+. ALDH1A3 participates in various physiological processes in human cells by oxidizing all-trans-retinal to retinoic acid. ALDH1A3 influences a diverse range of biological characteristics within cancer stem cells and can act as a marker for these cells. ALDH1A3 is differentially activated during early embryonic head and forebrain development. ALDH1A3 is considered a target in breast cancer. High expression of ALDH1A3 has been observed in high-grade gliomas (HGGs)[1][2].
The enzyme activity of this recombinant protein is testing in progress, we cannot offer a guarantee yet.
