Artemin Protein, Human
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Artemin Protein, Human, a member of the glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) family, is the ligand for the former orphan receptor GFRalpha3-RET. Artemin is a survival factor for sensory and sympathetic neurons in culture, and also influences these neurons in vivo.
- Species: Human
- Source: E. coli

Almacenamiento:Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
Actividad biológica
Artemin Protein, Human, a member of the glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) family, is the ligand for the former orphan receptor GFRalpha3-RET. Artemin is a survival factor for sensory and sympathetic neurons in culture, and also influences these neurons in vivo[1].
Artemin supports peripheral and central neurons and signals through the GFRalpha3-RET receptor complex. Artemin can also activate the GFRalpha1-RET complex and supports the survival of dopaminergic midbrain neurons in culture, indicating that like GDNF (GFRalpha1-RET) and NTN (GFRalpha2-RET), Artemin has a preferred receptor (GFRalpha3-RET) but that alternative receptor interactions also occur[1].

Product Properties
Lyophilized powder.
Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of 20 mM HEPES, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.4.
<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.
It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere.
