DR6/TNFRSF21 Protein, Human (His-SUMO)

Cat. No.: HY-P700505
Handling Instructions

DR6/TNFRSF21 Protein, central to apoptosis, activates NF-kappa-B, BAX-mediated apoptosis, and mitochondrial cytochrome c release. In neuronal apoptosis, it's pivotal for amyloid peptide-triggered cell body death and axonal pruning. It negatively regulates oligodendrocyte survival, maturation, and myelination. In T-cell signaling, it's crucial for differentiation, proliferation, and immune response, inhibiting T-cell cytokine release and Ig production. Additionally, it regulates pyroptosis by recruiting CASP8 upon ROS stimulation. Interactions include NGFR, CASP8, N-APP, and association with TRADD. DR6/TNFRSF21 Protein, Human (His-SUMO) is the recombinant human-derived DR6/TNFRSF21 protein, expressed by E. coli, with N-SUMO, N-6*His labeled tag. The total length of DR6/TNFRSF21 Protein, Human (His-SUMO) is 285 a.a., with molecular weight of 48 kDa.

Background

The DR6/TNFRSF21 Protein has multiple roles in promoting apoptosis, including activation of NF-kappa-B and apoptosis mediated by BAX and cytochrome c release from the mitochondria. It is involved in neuronal apoptosis triggered by amyloid peptides, contributing to both cell body death and axonal pruning. Additionally, it negatively regulates oligodendrocyte survival, maturation, and myelination. The protein also plays a crucial role in T-cell signaling, adaptive immune response, and the regulation of T-cell differentiation and proliferation. It inhibits T-cell responses and the release of cytokines, as well as the production of IgG, IgM, and IgM in response to antigens. Furthermore, it acts as a regulator of pyroptosis, recruiting CASP8 upon reactive oxygen species (ROS) stimulation and oxidation, leading to GSDMC activation. The DR6/TNFRSF21 Protein interacts with NGFR, CASP8, and N-APP and associates with TRADD.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.

The reconstitution calculator equation

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

Volume (to add to vial) = Mass (in vial) ÷ Desired Reconstitution Concentration

The dilution calculator equation

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)

This equation is commonly abbreviated as: C1V1 = C2V2

Concentration (start) × Volume (start) = Concentration (final) × Volume (final)
× = ×
C1   V1   C2   V2

The specific activity calculator equation

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)

Specific Activity (Unit/mg) = 106 ÷ Biological Activity (ED50)
Unit/mg = 106 ÷ ng/mL
