GM-CSF Protein, Canine

Customer Review

Based on 1 Customer Validation

The CSF2 protein is a cytokine that plays a critical role in the regulation of immune responses and hematopoiesis. It stimulates the production and differentiation of white blood cells, including macrophages and granulocytes. GM-CSF Protein, Canine is the recombinant canine-derived GM-CSF protein, expressed by E. coli , with tag free.

Biological Activity

Description

The CSF2 protein is a cytokine that plays a critical role in the regulation of immune responses and hematopoiesis. It stimulates the production and differentiation of white blood cells, including macrophages and granulocytes. GM-CSF Protein, Canine is the recombinant canine-derived GM-CSF protein, expressed by E. coli , with tag free.

Background

CSF2 protein, also known as GM-CSF, plays a crucial role in stimulating the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells from different lineages, such as granulocytes, macrophages, eosinophils, and erythrocytes. It operates as a monomer and forms a signaling complex with the GM-CSF receptor. This receptor complex consists of two alpha, two beta, and two ligand subunits arranged in a dodecamer structure, with two head-to-head hexamers.

Verified Bioactivity

Measured in a cell proliferation assay using TF‑1 human erythroleukemic cells. The ED50 for this effect is <8 ng/mL.

Product Properties

Appearance

Lyophilized powder

Formulation

Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.4.

Endotoxin Level

<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
