GPRC5D Protein-Nanodisc, Human (HEK293, His, Flag)

GPRC5D, a G protein-coupled receptor, is a type C seven-transmembrane receptor protein. GPRC5D is an orphan receptor expressed on malignant plasma cells with limited expression in normal tissues. GPRC5D is a promising target for studying relapsed or refractory (R/R) multiple myeloma (MM). GPRC5D Protein-Nanodisc, Human (HEK293, His, Flag) is a recombinant GPRC5D protein expressed in HEK293 cells, with C-terminal His and N-terminal Flag tags.

Description

GPRC5D, a G protein-coupled receptor, is a type C seven-transmembrane receptor protein. GPRC5D is an orphan receptor expressed on malignant plasma cells with limited expression in normal tissues. GPRC5D is a promising target for studying relapsed or refractory (R/R) multiple myeloma (MM). GPRC5D Protein-Nanodisc, Human (HEK293, His, Flag) is a recombinant GPRC5D protein expressed in HEK293 cells, with C-terminal His and N-terminal Flag tags.

Background

G protein-coupled receptor class C 5 member D (GPRC5D) is a G protein-coupled orphan receptor that shares homology with mammalian G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) superfamily C family group 5 member (related to metabotropic glutamate receptor-like) and belongs to the RAIG1 family along with two highly homologous orphan G protein-coupled receptors (oGPCRs), GPRC5B and GPRC5C (RAIG1 was originally isolated as an orphan GPCR by differential display, and its expression can be induced by all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) in human head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC)). As a member of the G protein-coupled receptor that only exists in eukaryotes (including yeast and flagella), GPRC5D is mainly expressed on malignant plasma cells, but limitedly expressed in normal tissues. It is a potential therapeutic target for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (R/R MM). Its targeted CAR-T, CAR-NK cell therapy and bispecific T cell engagers have significant anti-tumor activity, and it is also a target for CAR-T cell immunotherapy of multiple myeloma. In addition, G protein-coupled receptors can be bound and activated by a variety of ligands (ranging in size from small molecules to large proteins), such as photosensitive compounds, odors, and hormones, and are associated with a variety of diseases. Its signal transduction pathways include the cAMP signaling pathway and the phosphatidylinositol signaling pathway.
