UCHL1 Protein, Rat (His)

Customer Review

Based on 1 Customer Validation

The UCHL1 protein is a ubiquitin proteolytic enzyme essential for processing ubiquitin precursors and hydrolyzing ubiquitinated proteins. As a thiol protease, it specifically cleaves the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. UCHL1 Protein, Rat (His) is the recombinant rat-derived UCHL1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-10*His labeled tag.

Description

The UCHL1 protein is a ubiquitin proteolytic enzyme essential for processing ubiquitin precursors and hydrolyzing ubiquitinated proteins. As a thiol protease, it specifically cleaves the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. UCHL1 Protein, Rat (His) is the recombinant rat-derived UCHL1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-10*His labeled tag.

Background

UCHL1 protein, a ubiquitin-protein hydrolase, plays a crucial role in the processing of both ubiquitin precursors and ubiquitinated proteins. Acting as a thiol protease, it specifically recognizes and hydrolyzes the peptide bond at the C-terminal glycine of ubiquitin. Additionally, UCHL1 protein has the ability to bind to free monoubiquitin, potentially preventing its degradation in lysosomes. Furthermore, the homodimeric form of UCHL1 protein may exhibit ATP-independent ubiquitin ligase activity.

Product Properties

Appearance

Lyophilized powder.

Formulation

Lyophilized from a 0.22 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.

Endotoxin Level

<1 EU/μg, determined by LAL method.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).
