Background
WISP1/CCN4 protein acts as a downstream regulator in the Wnt/Frizzled-signaling pathway and is involved in cell survival. It shows adherence to skin and melanoma fibroblasts, potentially through binding to proteoglycans like decorin and biglycan. Additionally, WISP1/CCN4 protein has demonstrated the ability to suppress tumor growth in vivo.
Verified Bioactivity
Measured by its ability to inhibit the cell growth of DU145 human prostate cancer cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.5-3.0 µg/mL.
