11α,12β-Di-O-tigloyltenacigenin B (compound 1) (2 h) is isolated from Marsdenia tenacissima stems and structurally characterized as a polyoxypregnane with a molecular formula of C31H44O7, a melting point of 118-119 °C, and a specific rotation of [α]D20 +24 (c 0.1, MeOH)[1].
11α,12β-Di-O-tigloyltenacigenin B (compound 2) is a constituent of the ETA extract from Marsdenia tenacissima, and contributes to the 42.14% total peak area of four marker compounds in the extract's HPLC profile[2].
