Background
-
Function
CD327 can bind to TNFRSF3/LTBR. CD327 can modulate the effects of the decoy receptor TNFRSF6B. CD327 can act as a ligand for TNFRSF14/HVEM. After binding to TNFRSF14/HVEM, CD327 can transmit co-stimulatory signals to T cells, thereby promoting T cell proliferation and IFNG production[1].

Subcellular Localization
Cell membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein; Secreted; Cytoplasm
-
Expression
Tissue_specificity:It is primarily expressed in the spleen, but also found in brain tissue. Expression is weaker in peripheral lymphoid tissues, as well as in the heart, placenta, liver, lungs, appendix, and kidneys. It has not been observed in fetal tissues, endocrine glands, or non-hematopoietic tumor cell lines.
Induction:Up-regulated after T-cell activation -
Isoforms & Post-Translational Modification
CD327 has 2 isomers: O43557-1: 26350 Da (predicted); O43557-2: 22395 Da (predicted).
N-glycosylated;The soluble form of isoform 1 derives from the membrane form by proteolytic processing -
Subunit
Homotrimer. Interacts with TNFRSF14
