    Western blot analysis of extracts from HeLa (lane 1(20μg)) and Rat brain (lane 2(20μg)) using Ninein Antibody (HY-P86996) . Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% nonfat dry milk in TBST for 1.5 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (1/2000) and Loading control antibody (β Tubulin, 1/5000) was used in 5% nonfat dry milk in TBST at 4℃ overnight. Background

  • Function

    Ninein is a Centrosomal protein required in the positioning and anchorage of the microtubule minus-end in epithelial cells. May also act as a centrosome maturation factor. May play a role in microtubule nucleation, by recruiting the gamma-tubulin ring complex to the centrosome. Overexpression does not perturb nucleation or elongation of microtubules but suppresses release of microtubules. Required for centriole organization and microtubule anchoring at the mother centriole[1][2][3].
