Flow cytometric analysis of 1X10^6 Hela cells labeling Rab1b Antibody(red). Cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde and permeabilised with 0.2% Triton X-100. Then stained with the primary antibody at 1/400 dilution overnight at 4℃.Alexa Fluor® 488 Goat Anti-mouse IgG H&L (invitrogen A11001) was used as the secondary antibody at 1/1,000 dilution for 45 minutes at room temperature. Mouse IgG Isotype Control (Invitrogen 14-4714-B2, blue) was used as the isotype control, cells without incubation with primary antibody were used as the unlabeled control (gray).

Function
Rab1b is a The small GTPases Rab are key regulators of intracellular membrane trafficking, from the formation of transport vesicles to their fusion with membranes. Rabs cycle between an inactive GDP-bound form and an active GTP-bound form that is able to recruit to membranes different set of downstream effectors directly responsible for vesicle formation, movement, tethering and fusion. Plays a role in the initial events of the autophagic vacuole development which take place at specialized regions of the endoplasmic reticulum. Regulates vesicular transport between the endoplasmic reticulum and successive Golgi compartments. Required to modulate the compacted morphology of the Golgi. Promotes the recruitment of lipid phosphatase MTMR6 to the endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment[1][2][3][4].
