Beclin1-Bcl-2 interaction inhibitor 1 (compound 35) potently and selectively inhibits the interaction between the Beclin 1 BH3 domain and full cytoplasmic Bcl-2(1-218) with an IC50 of 4.4 nM, showing 200-fold greater potency for this interaction compared to inhibiting Bax BH3/Bcl-2 binding[1].
