Polypropylene glycol 2000 (PPG 2000) is a polyether produced by ring-opening polymerization of propylene oxide. Polypropylene glycol 2000 has low toxicity, and acts as a dispersant for leather finishing materials, as well as a surfactant and wetting agent for pharmaceutical preparations.

Polypropylene glycol 2000 acts as a corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in acidic solutions, serves as a starting material for the synthesis of epoxy resin/polyurethane hybrid networks via frontal polymerization, and is also used to prepare poly (PEG/PPG/PTMC urethane) hydrogels for the sustained release of Doxorubicin (HY-15142A)[1].
