Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate is a melanogenesis inhibitor. Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate does not directly target tyrosinase activity, but inhibits melanin synthesis in a dose-dependent manner by downregulating α-MSH (HY-P0252)-induced tyrosinase protein expression and scavenging ROS. Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate scavenges DPPH free radicals. Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate can be used in the research of hyperpigmentation.

Biological Activity
Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate (2-100 μg/mL; 24-72 h) shows no cytotoxicity at concentrations up to 10 μg/mL, while it reduces cell viability to below 80% at concentrations ≥ 25 μg/mL[1].
Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate (2-10 μg/mL) exerts no significant inhibitory effect on the catalytic activity of mushroom tyrosinase[1].
Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate (10 μg/mL; 24 h) reduces α-MSH-stimulated extracellular melanin production in B16F10 melanoma cells to 88.4% of the control level at a concentration of 10 μg/mL[1].
Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate (2-10 μg/mL; 72 h) reduces α-MSH-stimulated melanogenesis in B16F10 melanoma cells in a dose-dependent manner[1].
Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate (2-10 μg/mL; 72 h) dose-dependently inhibits α-MSH-stimulated tyrosinase activity in B16F10 melanoma cells[1].
Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate (10 μg/mL; 72 h) reduces the expression of tyrosinase protein in α-MSH-stimulated B16F10 melanoma cells[1].
Ethyl 3,4,5-trimethoxybenzoate (2-10 μg/mL; 80 min) scavenges DPPH free radicals in a dose-dependent manner[1].
