L-Arginine p-nitroanilide dihydrochloride, 98%
Based on 1 Customer Validation
L-Arginine p-nitroanilide dihydrochloride, 98% (H-Arg-pNA 2HCl, 98%) is a chromogenic substrate for cathepsin H. L-Arginine p-nitroanilide dihydrochloride, 98% can be hydrolyzed to produce a chromogenic product detectable by photometry, which is used to measure the activities of cathepsin H and aminopeptidases.

Description
In Vitro
L-Arginine p-nitroanilide (H-Arg pNA 2HCl) dihydrochloride serves as a functional substrate for cathepsin H activity in the midgut fluid of third-instar western corn rootworm larvae[1].
L-Arginine p-nitroanilide dihydrochloride can derive N-benzoyl-l-arginine (BAPNA), which is hydrolysable by native bovine pancreatic trypsin and its pegylated conjugate and can be applied to biochemical assays. Biochemical assay results indicate that pegylated bovine pancreatic trypsin has stronger autolysis resistance than native bovine pancreatic trypsin at 40 °C[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
