Biological Activity

Description

GRB7 Protein, Human (GST) is the recombinant human-derived GRB7, expressed by E. coli , with GST labeled tag.

Background

GRB7 is an adapter protein that interacts with the cytoplasmic domains of numerous receptor kinases and modulates downstream signaling. It promotes the activation of downstream protein kinases, including STAT3, AKT1, MAPK1, and/or MAPK3, as well as the activation of HRAS. GRB7 plays a role in signal transduction in response to EGF and is involved in regulating cell proliferation and migration. Additionally, it contributes to the assembly and stability of RNA stress granules. When unphosphorylated, GRB7 binds to the 5'UTR of target mRNAs and represses their translation. Phosphorylation impairs RNA binding and promotes stress granule disassembly during recovery after cellular stress (by similarity).
