UM4118 transports extracellular copper into cells, elevates intracellular and mitochondrial copper levels, and triggers lipoylated DLAT aggregation, proteotoxic stress, iron-sulfur cluster protein depletion, reduced lipoylated protein levels, and maximal mitochondrial respiratory damage.
