Ristocetin A (sulfate) (Ristomycin III) is a glycopeptide antibiotic that binds to von Willebrand factor (VWF) and bacterial cell wall components. Ristocetin A (sulfate) interferes with the biosynthesis of bacterial peptidoglycan by inhibiting transpeptidation.
