Sodium phosphate dibasic heptahydrate

Cat. No.: HY-W094517 Assay: 98.74%
Handling Instructions Technical Support

Sodium phosphate dibasic heptahydrate is an orally active and osmotic laxative, often used as a component of over-the-counter gastrointestinal lavage drugs. Sodium phosphate dibasic heptahydrate draws water into the intestinal lumen, maintains electrical neutrality by retaining cations in the intestinal lumen, and thereby alters fecal volume, consistency and phosphate levels. Sodium phosphate dibasic heptahydrate can be used to generate self-assembled calcium phosphate tubular scaffolds, which support the adhesion, survival and elongation of mesenchymal stem cells. Sodium phosphate dibasic heptahydrate can be applied to research on factitious disorders and related fields.

Description

Sodium phosphate dibasic heptahydrate can be applied to research on factitious disorders and related fields[1][2].

In Vitro

Sodium phosphate dibasic heptahydrate (0.2-1 M; 4 weeks, 10-60 min, 48 h, 4 h) induces the self-assembly of calcium phosphate tubular scaffolds, where the 0.8 M concentration generates tubular structures with good repeatability and high occurrence frequency, which can support the adhesion and survival of sheep bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells; compared with heat-treated β-tricalcium phosphate scaffolds, calcium-deficient hydroxyapatite scaffolds prepared from Sodium phosphate dibasic heptahydrate promote more extensive cell spreading[3].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
