Trypanothione synthetase-IN-3 is a noncompetitive mixed hyperbolic Trypanothione synthetase (TryS) inhibitor (Ki: 0.8 μM). Trypanothione synthetase-IN-3 can be used in the study of parasites, such as L. infantum[1].

Trypanothione synthetase (TryS)[1]

In Vitro

Trypanothione synthetase-IN-3 (30 min) displays noncompetitive inhibitory behavior against Li TryS with IC50 values of 2 μM -5.6 μM (determined by various substrates)[1].
Trypanothione synthetase-IN-3 (24 h) inhibits proliferation of L. infantum axenic amastigotes with an EC50 value of 43.7 μM[1].
