Flow cytometric analysis of 1X106 HepG2 cells labeling Glucose Transporter GLUT2 Antibody (HY-P80406, red). Cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde. Then stained with the primary antibody at 1/100 dilution for an hour at 4℃. AF488-conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HY-P8002) was used as the secondary antibody at 1/1,000 dilution for 30 minutes at 4℃. Rabbit IgG Isotype Control (HY-P80879, blue) was used as the isotype control, cells without incubation with primary antibody were used as the unlabeled control (black).
Background
-
Function
Glucose Transporter GLUT2 is a Facilitative hexose transporter that mediates the transport of glucose, fructose and galactose. Likely mediates the bidirectional transfer of glucose across the plasma membrane of hepatocytes and is responsible for uptake of glucose by the beta cells; may comprise part of the glucose-sensing mechanism of the beta cell. May also participate with the Na(+)/glucose cotransporter in the transcellular transport of glucose in the small intestine and kidney. Also able to mediate the transport of dehydroascorbate[1][2][3][4][5][6].
