Definition:
C-4-II is a human cancer cell line derived from Uterus, cervix and associated with Human papillomavirus-related cervical squamous cell carcinoma and Squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix uteri. C-4-II is immortalized or transformed by Human papillomavirus type 18 (HPV18). C-4-II is used as an in vitro model of Human papillomavirus-related cervical squamous cell carcinoma and Squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix uteri to investigate tumor-cell growth, cell survival, and pharmacological response.
