Definition:
CAKI-1 is a human cancer cell line derived from Skin and associated with Clear cell renal cell carcinoma and Clear cell renal carcinoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. CAKI-1 is used as an in vitro model of Clear cell renal cell carcinoma and Clear cell renal carcinoma to investigate MAPK signaling, EGFR signaling, and cell migration.
