Calu-1

Definition:

Calu-1 is a human cancer cell line derived from Pleural effusion and associated with Lung squamous cell carcinoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. Calu-1 is used as an in vitro model of Lung squamous cell carcinoma to investigate EGFR signaling and receptor signaling and trafficking.
