Definition:

Calu-6 is a human Epithelial cell-derived cancer cell line derived from Pleural effusion and associated with Lung adenocarcinoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. Calu-6 is used as an in vitro model of Lung adenocarcinoma to investigate cell invasion and cell differentiation.
