Definition:
U-251 is a human cancer cell line derived from Brain, parietal lobe and associated with Astrocytoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. U-251 is used as an in vitro model of Astrocytoma to investigate apoptosis, cell proliferation, and cell-cycle control.
