Biological Activity: Iodoacetamido-PEG8-acid is a PEG reagent containing an Iodoacetamide group and a carboxlic acid moiety. The terminal carboxylic acid can react with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or HATU) to form a stable amide bond. The iodoacetamide group is an alkylating agent that can be used to bind covalently with the thiol group.
